There’s a new chicken place in town – John Daniel’s.
The menu goes beyond your usual chicken, fries and burgers – it’s tailor-made for Filipino taste buds.
With the restaurant’s tagline, “Come to where the real Filipino taste is,” restaurateur, Eliezer Tan Semine said he built his own fastfood restaurant in Deira sometime last April 2016 with only one mission: to create and share his own take on preparing American fastfood that suits Pinoys’ liking.
It took him hundreds of versions of his own homemade marinades, patties, dressings and buns before finally finding the perfect combination to launch what is now known as John Daniel’s trademark neighborhood gourmet menu.
“I am a fastfood lover. I frequent the USA and found ideas to make my own. I wanted to serve American burgers, fries and chicken with a Filipino twist. I want Pinoys like me who eat fastfood to enjoy quality made items,” Semine, who has been in the UAE for more than 20 years, told The Filipino Times.
One of his best sellers is the humongous Terabite Burger. This half-pound cheese burger topped with bacon on a bed of fresh veggies and overflowing cheese is the bomb. We doubt if even hungry Jacks with an enormous appetite could finish this in one sitting. The Terabite Burger one can be shared, or if you think you can handle it, take the challenge, go and finish the whole thing! This comes with fries and a refreshing blue lemonade. This heavy meal is priced at Dh 45. Just add Dh 6 for fries and blue lagoon lemonade drink. Not bad, especially if you’re out to treat yourself or someone else.
Chicken and rice lovers would also definitely love John Daniel’s budget meals. For Dh12, you get two pieces of broasted, crispy, juicy, crunchy chicken with a cup of soft and sticky rice.
Add an additional Dh 6; you’ll have your meal upgraded to unlimited rice, plus one lagoon lemonade drink.
Apart from the two-piece chicken budget meal, diners can also choose from John Daniel’s combo meal offers which include CM1 (Two-piece chicken with burger steak), CM3, (burger steak), CM4 (Three-piece chicken with rice and fries) and CM5 (Three-piece chicken with rice). All these are served with unlimited rice and lagoon lemonade drink and starts at Dh 23 each. But if you like chicken, burger and fries all in one go, CM2 is perfect for you. This Dh 29 meal sure will satisfy your hunger.
