1. Cheska Garcia and Doug Kramer (14 years)
Cheska, an actress and Doug, a basketball star met in 2003 and married in 2008. Their story started out as friendship and blossomed into something more special three months after they first met. They now have three children – Clair Kendra Kramer, Scarlett Louvelle Kramer, and Gavin Phoenix Kramer. The family became even more popular through their Facebook account named Team Kramer. They have more than 2 million followers on social media and several endorsement contracts.
2. Charlene Gonzalez and Aga Muhlach (16 years)
Aga and Charlene met in 2001. They started dating only after he asked for her parents’ permission to get engaged to her. They first met through Charlene’s cousin who is Aga’s former co-star, J.C. Bonnin. They met again during the 1994 Binibining Pilipinas pageant in which he was the judge and she was the sixth-placed contestant. She was also his co-star in Oki Doki Doc, where they became friends. They got married in Baguio City, less than a year after their engagement. They have twins named Atasha and Andres.
3. Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi (17 years)
After 12 years of being together, Carmina and Zoren finally married in 2012. Zoren enlisted the help of his children, Cassie and Maverick, as well colleagues of the actress-host from ABS-CBN, to carry out the surprise proposal and wedding ceremony held in Muntinlupa City. Before they became a couple, the two were romantically linked to other showbiz personalities. Zoren was in a relationship with Ruffa Gutierrez for a time, while Villaroel was married to actor Rustom Padilla in 1998.
4. Lucy Torres and Richard Gomez (19 years)
Since Lucy was 12, Richard has been her crush. They met in a Lux ad in 1993 but it was only in 1997 when Richard really pursued her seriously, calling her everyday and even flying to Ormoc for a surprise visit. Maricar said she never thought a guy as caring as Richard still exists until she met him in 2009. Richard had a huge crush on Maricar upon seeing her in a TV show. This couple is relatively young but oozing with so much love. They met in 2008 while filming a television show. Kean said Chynna is the most beautiful girl he has ever seen and immediately pursued her. They got married in 2015 after being together for about a year.
7. Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano (10 years)
In 2015, Toni married Paul after an eight-year relationship. Like Iya and Drew, Toni and Paul did not have pre-marital sex. Considering her parents’ strict nature, Toni admired Paul’s patience and kindness.
8. Iya Villania and Drew Arellano (13 years)
After a 10-year relationship, Iya and Drew got married in 2014. In their long-standing relationship, the couple admitted that they never had sex until the wedding. Their relationship secret? Patience. Last year, Iya gave birth to their first son, Antonio.
9. Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla (7 years)
After meeting on the TV show, Wowowee, Mariel and Robin fell in love immediately. They married at the Taj Mahal in Agra, India in 2010. 10. Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes (7 years)
The couple met when GMA-7 did the local rendition of the hit Mexican 1994 TV telenovela Marimar in 2007. In August 2014, while a live airing of Marian’s dance program, Dingdong made a special guest appearance in the show and made a surprise live proposal to Marian. On December 30, 2014, Marian married Dingdong Dantes. The wedding, held at Cubao Cathedral, Quezon City, was dubbed “The Royal Wedding.” They now have a daughter, baby Zia.
