Toni Gonzaga, one of the most promising stars in Philippine showbiz indeed has taken stages of her
life seriously. She made sure she had a full-blown career before finally settling down with her 8-year
boyfriend that time, director-producer Paul Soriano.
Two years later, Gonzaga and Soriano have had their first birth, baby boy Severiano Elliott on Sept.
30, 2016.
Toni Gonzaga has been away from the media from the duration of her pregnancy and admitted that
she had also suffered postpartum depression.
According to one of her media interviews, the Pinoy Big Brother host said that the transformation in
her physical appearance—more particularly, weight gain has been the major cause of her woos.
For the weight gain part, she recalled how Toni and her sister Alex, who is also in showbiz, would
both make light of Toni's "ka-OA- an."
The Alex once asked her ate, "Katherine, tignan mo yung katawan mo sa salamin."
Toni then said to her younger sister, "Tanggalin mo iyang blouse mo, tanggalin mo iyang pantalon
mo."
Comparing their bodies, Toni went on to say, "Tignan mo yung katawan mo, pang-dalaga. Iyong akin,
wala na, pang-nanay na."
To this, Alex said, "Ang OA talaga. Sabi ko, 'Talaga namang nanay ka na.' Ang OA niya."
Toni agreed, "Siya naging cause ng postpartum ko."
However, Toni is happy to say that after 4 months, the 33- year-old celebrity mom is 36 pounds
lighter and just weighs 100 pounds.
Aside from her weight, Alex would sometimes tease Toni about the dark circles in the latter's eyes
and the areas that darkened during the pregnancy period.
Alex would tease Toni, "Bakit naka-contour ang kili-kili mo?'"
But Mommy Pinty's role was to lift Toni’s esteem. Toni said that they talked about the not-so-
flattering changes on the color of her skin.
The box-office star related, "But sorry, ngayon, nakakatuwa, kasi sasabihin ko, 'Mommy, bakit
dumilim, bakit dumilim,' gano'n.
"Normal iyon di ba sa mga nanay, dumidilim lalo na kapag lalaki?' Toni would ask.
And her mom would reply, "Wag ka mag-alala, tandaan mo, lilipas ang panahon. Kapag hinilod mo
na iyan, magiging libag iyan. Hilurin mo iyan, Tin. 'Tapos makikita mo, nagiging dead skin na siya.”
Toni agreed, "True naman. Nawala siya, 'tsaka iyong dito, yung linea nigra, ginagano'n ko, nawawala
yung dead skin.”
