Paolo Ballesteros has finally returned to GMA7’s noontime variety show Eat Bulaga on Monday, September 5, after nearly seven months of absence.
The 33-year-old actor-host rejoined the Kalyeserye team composed of Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and dub smash queen Maine Mendoza during their “Juan for All, All for Juan” segment at Pasig City, rapping Black Eyed Peas’ hit “Where Is the Love?”
Paolo’s suspension was rumoured to be because of his angry Facebook rant about “non-assistance” of staff members during an Ad Summit in Subic, Zambales, last March. He decided to drink inside his hotel room and snub the event, which was sponsored by TAPE Productions.
This prompted co-host Joey de Leon to tease, “Meron tayong event sa Subic.”
Prior to Paolo’s return, co-host Wally Bayola clued in reporters that Paolo would be returning to the show not for long.
“Bukod sa friendship naming tatlo, bukod sa nabuo na naming rapport na magkakasama kami, nasanay kami na kasama siya,” he said, as quoted by Manila Bulletin. “Lalo na sa service, kapag magsusugod-bahay kami. Nagkakaisa kami, kung ano-anong katatawanan ginagawa namin. May lungkot.”
