MANILA: As apparent in the most recent issue of popular men’s FHM, the much-anticipated event FHM 100 Sexiest Victory Party celebrating the country’s sexiest women has adopted a Hollywood-style red carpet theme inspired by James Bond.
Following the global standards set by the FHM principal, the Philippine franchise aims to take the already popular brand to new heights as it hopes to become the number one male lifestyle brand in the country with a “sharper, smarter, and cooler” facelift that seeks to attract a wider audience, reported InterAksyon.
Held at the Valkyrie at The Palace in Taguig City, the FHM 100 Sexiest Victory Party started as a two-part event with an afternoon autograph signing session with three of its recent cover girls — Filipina-French actress Kim Domingo, former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Dawn Chang and actress and July cover girl Rhian Ramos, who ranked No. 5 in the coveted list’s Top 10, the report said.
But the biggest change came during the night’s main event, the presentation of this year’s100 Sexiest Women. As in years past, not everyone who made the list participated in the victory party, but the 26 women who confirmed their appearance including top vote-getter Jessy Mendiola more than made up for the others’ absence, it added.
Unlike in previous FHM victory parties, the female celebrities who participated did not parade in revealing swimsuits. Instead, they regaled the predominantly male crowd who jampacked the Valkyrie with elegant cocktail dresses, said the news portal.
But even in their mostly covered-up glories, the girls showed why they are worthy of being described as “sexiest” in creatively designed gowns that still managed to be revealing in just the right places.
There was Rhian Ramos who was simply stunning in her backless outfit. Aiko Climaco of “Banana Sundae” was radiant in her cut-out gown. And Kim Domingo was easily the most applauded for her semi-see through red dress that showed more skin than the others, the report pointed out.
Other standouts included Sam Pinto, Sunshine Cruz, Daiana Menezes, Bangs Garcia, Rochelle Pangilinan and Sunshine Garcia.
Three-time FHM Sexiest Woman Marian Rivera was also honored as the first FHM Philippines Hall of Famer even as she once again returned to the list’s Top 10 where she finished at number 6, it highlighted.
Actress Jessy Mendiola, the sexiest of them all, described herself as “curvy” and “voluptuous,” highlighting why she was a cut above the rest in a glittering, flaming red, semi-swimsuit outfit, reported InterAksyon.
