Remains of Filipina who died in Dubai heading home

The remains of Ma. Monica Manuel, an overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) who died of cardiac arrest in Dubai last September 27, are now heading home, a relative confirmed to The Filipino Times.

Her body left the Dubai International Airport on board an Emirates airlines flight at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday midnight. It is expected to arrive 7:20 p.m. today October 2 at the Clark International Airport.

Her sister Angela Manuel, who also works in the UAE, accompanied her remains.

Manuel, 27, was diagnosed of stage 4 liver cancer.

Assistance poured in for the immediate repatriation of the OFW who worked at a ladies salon in Dubai and stayed in the emirate for five years.

Her family in Lubao, Pampanga is grateful to Philippine officials in the UAE for extending their help to repatriate her remains and settle her huge hospital bill amounting to Php1 million.
