Mohamed bin Zayed sends message to Pope Francis following UAE visit

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has thanked His Holiness Pope Francis, Head of the Catholic Church, for the historic visit to the UAE last February 3-5, 2019.

His Highness the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi also thanked the Holy See for ‘his participation in the ‘Human Fraternity Meeting”, along with Dr. Ahmad Al-Tayyeb, Grand Imam Al Azhar Al Sharif.

The historic visit of the pontiff to the UAE paved the way for the signing of the ” Declaration on Human Fraternity”.

According to WAM, the message was delivered to Pope Francis by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during an audience in the Vatican.

Pope Francis and His Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed ways to bolster bilateral relations between the two countries that would promote values of peace, tolerance and coexistence among peoples of the world.
