Lian Paz says Paolo Contis doesn’t give child support

Former EB (Eat Bulaga) Babes member Lian Paz candidly revealed on social media that she has been the sole provider of her two daughters as her former husband, actor Paolo Contis, stopped giving child support ever since they separated.

It all started when Paz posted a photo on her Instagram account dated November 19 to express her delight over the academic achievement of her two daughters, Xonia and Xalene.

She shared that Xonia and Xalene are consistent honor students in the same school where she and current non-showbiz partner John Cabahug studied.

Paz then said that many parents in the school have the impression that her daughters are being financially supported by their biological father since he has a successful career as an actor.

But she said that such impression is untrue since she has been raising her kids on her own since she and Contis parted ways in 2012.

“Most parents I meet in school and most people know that my children are financially supported but from the start I became a single mother, I stand for my kids alone and then, I was blessed with a partner who shouldered everything for us after,” she revealed.

Paz then thanked Cabahug for continuously loving and supporting her daughters as if they were his own.

“I thank God for John, I thank John for loving my children. It is clear proof of his love for me. Xonia, Xalene and I have been through hell before we felt heaven and I am glad that we are here now,” she said.

I was in school early this morning for Xonia and Xalene’s recognition for being one of the honor students representing their grade levels. Xonia for grade 3, Xalene for grade 2. I cannot contain my happiness as a mother that these kids are consistent being honor students since they started their school here in cebu and to let you know, School where I graduated elementary and where I met John @anjan87 . Yes, we were schoolmates from grade 6 to 1st year highschool and who would have thought that he will stand to be the father of xonia and xalene. Not just physically and emotionally present which are the most important things to give a child but also, financially. Most parents I meet in school and Most people know that my children are financially supported but from the start I became a single mother, I stand for my kids alone and then, I was blessed with a partner who shouldered everything for us after. PEOPLE KNOW WHAT THEY HEAR and NOT WHAT THEY SEE. They are quick to believe what they think they see and hear. The truth is always silent. I thank God for John, I thank John for loving my children. It is the clear proof of his love for me. xonia, xalene and I have been through hell before we felt heaven and I am glad that we are here now. ❤️

One netizen with the Instagram handle @klengklengusi asked the former EB Babes member if it is possible for her to just reconcile with her former husband.

However, Paz replied with a lengthy message wherein she clarified that she does not want to cause an issue and would only want to celebrate her children’s achievements and express her appreciation for Cabahug.

As of press time, Contis has not yet released a statement regarding Paz’s claims.

Paz and Contis’ annulment is still ongoing. However, they have moved on with their respective personal lives since separating. Paz now has another daughter with Cabahug, while Contis is expecting his first child with actress LJ Reyes.
