Stabbed, chopped up: Love triangle eyed in Chinese woman slay in Makati

The Philippine National Police is looking into love triangle as the possible motive behind the slay of a Chinese woman whose body parts were found severed in different plastic bags and a suitcase in a condominium unit in Makati City.

The victim, identified as 26-year-old Wang Yalei, was killed and chopped by her friends on the 11th floor of The Lerato Residence Tower 1 on Thursday.

According to NCR Police office chief Director Guillermo Eleazar, the group was having a drinking session on Wednesday night until early Thursday when roommates, the victim and Zhang Chuning, had a spat over an unidentified woman back in China.

According to the statement of the suspects, the victims tried to stab Chuning with a knife, but the latter was able to grab the weapon and killed her in the process.

The gruesome murder came to light after the housekeeping of the condominium alerted the security about the “pieces of flesh and blood-soaked” clothes, underwear, tissues and kitchen knife disposed of into the material recovery facility, reported Inquirer.

In the CCTV footage, the security saw one of the victim’s female Chinese friend disposing of the garbage bags.

They alerted the authorities immediately. When the police arrived at the scene, they arrested two women, Chang and Zhang Xi Xi, and a man identified as Zhang Chu Quan. The three suspects were about to leave the area with other bags containing the chopped parts of the victim.
