The Overseas Filipino worker who was spared from the death row in the UAE, where she was jailed for nearly 4 years, met Pres. Rodrigo Duterte in Malacanang, November 6, days after her return to the country.
A photo of Jennifer Dalquez hugging Duterte was posted on Twitter by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) chief Hans Leo Cacdac.
In his Twitter post, Cacdac described Duterte as a “shoulder to cry on”.
“The President is a shoulder to cry on for returned OFW Jennifer Dalquez who was saved from death row in Al Ain Prison, UAE,” the caption read.

After serving four years in jail, Dalquez, who was sentenced to death for murder but was acquitted in 2017.
She arrived home Friday morning after the UAE government released her from prison.
