His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has expressed disappointment over what he termed “unacceptable” low employee satisfaction ratings at five federal government agencies.
In a bid to make the UAE one of the happiest countries in the world by 2021, the Vice President called the attention of five government agencies through a Twitter post.
The Vice President said (translated in English): “I have seen the reports of employee satisfaction in 40 federal government bodies. The percentage of satisfaction in some quarters is 93%. But we have five agencies with a 60% satisfaction rate! These percentages are unacceptable. Customer satisfaction is key to customer satisfaction.”
The Vice President gave six months for the managers of these five government agencies to boost the level of satisfaction of their employees.
“We give 6 months deadline to the managers of these bodies to change the working environment,” the Vice President said.
It can be recalled in 2016 that His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid sacked high-ranking officials at the Dubai Municipality for non-performance.
