Motivational speaker and author Bo Sanchez is a great believer of the principle “ask and you shall receive.” He said that the same principle can also be applied in every aspect of life including finding the right partner.
He even authored a book entitled, “How To Find Your One True Love.”
More than half of the UAE’s population are single and young adults, however settling down remains to be not as easy.
While others choose to pursue careers, some just keep falling in love with the wrong person.
Sanchez advised to write a non-negotiable list of how’d you like your potential mate to be.
“The word says it clear, ‘Ask and you shall receive.’ However, don’t put ‘I want to marry a handsome or beautiful girl.’”
Here is Sanchez’ list of ideal qualities that are for a successful long-term relationship.
- Marry the man you want your son to become.
Sanchez said it is vital that you date someone who you want your future kids to look up to. A man who’d you’d like to see your daughter date and your son to become.
- Marry a good conversationalist.
Sanchez also said never concentrate on the looks because beauty fades. Rather, marry someone you enjoy talking to from day ‘till night. “How boring will it be to look at a beautiful face without any connection?” He added, “Don’t be fooled by looks, but rather see what’s on the inside.”
- Marry someone who has the same vision as yours
Sanchez said one of the reasons why his marriage is strong to this day is because he and his wife have the same vision.
“Yes, you are two different persons but you should always have the same vision that keeps you moving forward,” he said.
