Job Description

POSITION: Junior Merchandiser

SALARY: up to 2,000 USD / 800OMR full package depending on qualifications and experience

HIRING COMPANY: E-Commerce Company (Fashion)

LOCATION: Muscat, Oman

AVAILABILITY: Immediately available will be prioritized (1 month-max)

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Open to ANY nationality

Male/Female, 35 years old and below

Open to overseas candidates

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Working closely with buyers and other merchandisers to plan product ranges

Meeting with suppliers, distributors and analysts

Managing budgets

Predicting sales and profits

Negotiating quantities and delivery time-scales

Supervising and training junior staff

Managing levels and distribution of stock

Handling supply/production problems as they arise

Setting stock promotions/price reductions as appropriate

Making financial presentations to senior managers

Assessing sales performance of different ranges

Procurement/ Buying

Sales

Price Management & Profitability

Fashion Trend Analysis and Forecasting

New Product / Collection Launch

Marketing and Promotion

Skills
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Graduate in Fashion designing, Textile Technology, Merchandising, or equivalent

Additional Business Management or equivalent studies would be an advantage

Minimum of 5 years of fashion retail merchandising experience

Detail-oriented and possess a strong awareness of design

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, such as Word and Excel

Excellent communication skills

Education: Fashion Design
