International Engineering Innovation Challenge The Filipino Times International Engineering Innovation Challenge encourages tertiary level students to showcase their innovative projects that incorporate cutting-edge technologies such as AI, machine learning, 3D printing, robotics, and other emerging advancements. The competition emphasizes practical application and societal impact across four key categories.

Sustainability and Environment

These projects should promote sustainable approach and use of sustainable materials that enables us to use or produce sustainable energy, protect the environment and enable food security.

multiple INTERNATIONAL Certificates

Manufacturing and Biomedical

These projects should promote efficiency and safety in manufacturing and Biomedical that will help protect humans without harming the environment.

multiple INTERNATIONAL Certificates

Structural, Transportation, and Infrastructure

These large scale projects should promote innovative solutions on real-world challenges of our country, the Philippines and/or the world. These include large scale projects such as buildings, bridges, dams and others.

Community Security and Urban Development

These small scale projects should feature how engineering plays an important role in overall safety of residents in community building and urban development. These include small scale projects such as houses, parks or even apps that will enable ease of living.

Note: The proposed project can be just part of bigger project. I.e. Solar powered equipment for household use. It can also be apps for community development.

Mechanics

Qualifying round:

  • Entries should be submitted in PDF soft copy along with a narrative of your project (maximum of 1,000 words). May include drawings, feasibility studies and details of the project.
  • Your entry should fall under the right category based on the description
  • Students may join as individual or as a group with maximum of 3 students per group
  • Only the top 10 entries for each category will advance to the final round.

Final round:

  • The top 10 entries will be invited to the UAE for the final round
  • During the final round, entries will be judged by the Top Engineers and Architects in the Middle East

Prizes:

  • Each category will have winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up
  • Special commendation awards will also be given for select entries based on technicalities and uniqueness

Note: If there are enough entries, there can be separate winners for group and individual categories
