International Design Competition The Filipino Times International Design Competition aims to promote the excellence of Filipino students and highlight their global competitiveness, and it will be open to all Architecture students of all levels.
Phases:
Categories

Sustainable projects
These projects should promote sustainability and use of sustainable materials or use of sustainable energy

Cultural preservation projects
These projects should highlight the process and details of restoration, reconstruction, rehabilitation and adaptation of the project

Urban and Landscape design
These projects should highlight the use of these urban and landscape design in the overall development of or its contribution to the city or the neighborhood

Commercial Architecture
These projects can be commercial spaces such as malls or offices and buildings

Residential Architecture
These projects should be limited to residential projects but not only in the Philippines but can be adaptable to other countries

Industrial Architecture
These projects should be iconic without compromising the need of the specific industry

Mechanics
Qualifying round:
- Entries should be submitted in PDF soft copy along with a narrative of your project (maximum of 1,000 words)
- Your entry should fall under the right category based on the description
- Students may join as individual or as a group with maximum of 3 students per group
- Only the top 10 entries for each category will advance to the final round.
Final round:
- The top 10 entries will be invited to the UAE for the final round
- During the final round, entries will be judged by the Top Engineers and Architects in the Middle East.
- The entries with the most number of votes will win the category
Prizes:
- Each category will have winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up
- Special commendation awards will also be given for select entries based on technicalities and uniqueness
Note: If there are enough entries, there can be separate winners for group and individual categories
