WATCH: Filipino wins ‘biggest singing reality show’ in UAE

A Filipino was hailed as the first ever grand winner of the ‘biggest singing reality show’ in the UAE.

On Instagram, Jovan Aquino said he is beyond words after winning the first season of “The One”, the largest singing reality show in the UAE.

“I’m still speechless and I still couldn’t believe it. What a way to close 2018’s door and what a great start for me this 2019,” Aquino said.

“Lord God, you have paved my way here since the very beginning,” he added.

During the final grand finals which was held at the IMG Worlds in Dubai, Aquino performed “Feeling Good” by Michael Buble which sealed his victory.

Aquino took home Dh12,500 (Php179,000+) alongside the title of being the first ever winner of the reality show.

Aquino extended his gratitude towards his family and friends who showed their love and support during his one-month stint in the show.

“To my family, relatives, and friends who never stopped believing in me, THANK YOU! It was a month-long competition which I just enjoyed… not thinking that eventually, I’ll be the one,” Aquino said.
