The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) has denied rumors that the agency is distributing forms for the cash incentive that was promised by President Rodrigo Duterte.
In a Facebook statement, OWWA reminds its members that only forms and information that are obtained from OWWA’s regional offices and website are official.
OWWA’s statement came after Facebook user Angelmae Omictin Maagad posted a photo of a form, which she claims to be a requirement to collect a P20,000-cash incentive from the President.
Maagad said active and former OFWs can claim the cash by merely presenting a photocopy of their passports.
Makatapos man ng kontrato o hindi,” Maagad said on Sept. 16.
