LOOK: Miss Universe Organization unveils $6 million ‘Force for Good’ crown for 71st pageant

The Miss Universe Organization has revealed the new crown for the 71st edition of the pageant, set to take place in 2023. Dubbed “Force for Good,” the crown was designed by Mouawad and is the second one created by the company for the Miss Universe pageant, following the “Power of Unity” crown. It is the 12th crown overall for the pageant.

Priced at a stunning $6 million, the crown features 110 carats of blue sapphires and 48 carats of white diamonds. It was designed with the theme of “Force for Good” in mind, which represents the idea of turning pain into power and creating a bright future by turning obstacles into wisdom.

The new Miss Universe Organization owner, Anne Jakrajutatip, shared her excitement about the unveiling of the crown. “After 71 years, the Universe has finally released its crown number 12,” she said. “Force for Good means turning pain into power and making the bright future by transforming obstacles into your own wisdom!”

The 71st Miss Universe pageant will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 14, 2023. Representing the Philippines in the competition is Celeste Cortesi.
