Dubai authorities apprehended a security guard who stole AED58,000 using the duplicate key entrusted to him in an apartment that he was supposed to safeguard.
The investigation began in July, when a lady reported the loss of money she had left in her apartment.
She said she left AED 58,000 from her suitcase and then left the house.
When she returned, she realized that AED58,000 had vanished from her luggage.
She claimed to have gone over the security cameras put in the flat. She later learned that the guard had broken into her home and stolen the money from her handbag. She reported the event to the police, who called the building security and confronted him with the proof.
