A Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey has shown that the unemployment rate declined to 24.7% in the fourth quarter of 2021. The survey was held from December 12 to 16, 2021.
In December 2021 the number of jobless Filipinos declined to 11 million.

This is the “lowest” adult joblessness rate since the 17.5 percent in the same period in 2019 less from 24.8 percent or 11.9 million in September 2021.
Face-to-face interviews of 1,440 adults aged 18 and above nationwide were carried out in the survey.
The country’s labor force participation rate was 62.8 percent, or an estimated 44.5 million.
