Singer and hitmaker Keith Martin was found dead on Friday morning in his condominium unit in Quezon City.
Martin was the voice behind hit songs ‘Because of You’ and ‘Love of my Life’.
The Quezon City Police District Eastwood Police Station said that condo residents reported a pungent odor coming from one of the units on the 6th floor.
Witnesses said the body was discovered inside the unit lying in bed. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the singer’s death.
Martin was last seen singing during the wedding of singer Daryl Ong.
Singers like Kyla and Kris Laurence expressed their sympathy over Martin’s death.
“In shock and in disbelief.. You will be missed, Keith Martin.. Thank you for the inspiration. You will leave a legacy of great music that is timeless and will always be remembered,” Kyla said in a tweet.
“You will be missed brotha. Your music will live in our hearts forever,” Kris said.
