The country’s Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Assistant Secretary Eduardo Menez said in a press briefing that the online appointment system was continuously reviewed to improve it.

Fixers are known to be selling appointment slots online.
The DFA, according to media reports, has filed complaints against two recruitment agencies, Canferz Payment and Ticketing Center and Valesco-SMS Inc., for illegally selling passport appointment slots of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) through social media.
The agency shut down the passport appointment portal for OFWs and instead opened the courtesy lane for walk-in applicants.
