The emirate of Dubai has relaxed the COVID-19 restrictions reducing the social distance from 2 to 1 meter and allowing attendance of 60 guests at various functions.
In a circular issued by the Dubai Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DCTM), physical distancing norms have been changed from 2 meters to 1 meter in the city’s restaurants and cafes, shopping centers, gyms, beaches, public and entertainment parks as well as offices and workplaces.
Separately in a circular issued by Dubai Sports Council the spectators capacity allowed for sports events has increased to 80 per cent of the entire venue capacity.
The attendance in weddings and funerals has been capped at 80 per cent and a maximum of 60 guests.
In addition to the 60-guest capacity, private gatherings are permitted to have up to ten service staff.
