‘Laos na?’ Jessy Mendiola responds

Jessy Mendiola is unbothered over comments by some of her bashers that sh/ no longer popular or has become ‘laos’ in showbiz lingo.

In a vlog with Mediola’s friend, Enchong Dee, she said that she received a lot of offers during the pandemic but she declined it all for health reasons.

“People still ask me ngayon kung anong plano ko sa life ko kasi nandiyan na ‘yung words na laos or like hindi na nao-offer-an. But ang totoo niyan, ever since the pandemic started, marami ng offers talaga. But I think it’s more of I value my health more than anything. And ever since nag-start ‘yung pandemic, siyempre nandiyan ‘yung fear, nandiyan ‘yung kailangan mong mag-lock in, nandiyan ‘yung marami kang taong makakasama. I feel like nasa point na ako ng life ko na I am enjoying what I’m doing which is vlogging,” she said.

Mendiola admits that she is even earning more on her endorsements now than pre-pandemic times.

“Actually, mas marami akong ipon ngayon. Ang nangyari I’m one of those lucky ones na nabigyan ako ng chance to explore the digital world. I just feel so blessed kasi hindi sagad ang work ko pero I still earn, I think double. I’m just really happy na brands are still getting me, ‘yun nga kaya ako mas nakaka-save ,” she said.

Despite being married, Mendiola said that she wants to earn money for herself.

“In terms of finances kami ni Lu, ever since talaga kapag kayang hati kami, hati kami. Kasi parang ang iniisip ng ibang tao dahil asawa ako ni Luis ay hindi na ako gumagastos, Luis takes care of everything when it comes to money. But it’s more of like lumaki akong breadwinner. So I like the feeling na I can fend for myself. I can pay this, I can buy that, I can do whatever I want with my money because I do have my own money,” she added. (TDT)
