The skies over Abu Dhabi this year be witnessing a fireworks extravaganza during the first three days of the Eid Al Adha holidays, which is expected to take place from July 20-22.

For those unable to be present at the site of the fireworks, the display will be live-streamed on Yas Island’s social media channels to view “virtually” since mass gatherings are prohibited as part of the island’s precautionary measures.

Astronomers anticipate that Arafat Day or the 9th day of Dhu Al Hijja will fall on July 19, Monday. This means Eid Al Adha will be on July 20, Tuesday making the week a six-day public holiday for those who have two days off every week. However, these holidays still depend on the official announcement of the UAE’s Moon Sighting Committee.
