COVID-19 related violations can now be paid through MOI’s smart app

The UAE’s Ministry of Interior has announced fines and violations related to Covid precautionary measures can now be paid online through the Ministry of Interior’s smart app.

The Ministry said residents can settle their fines by entering their Emirates ID numbers or unified number or passport number.

Then, they can now choose the violation they wish to pay before proceeding settling the payment.

The violations include public gatherings, holding public or private events, failure to comply on mandatory wearing face mask, failing to observe social distancing, failing to adhere with quarantine instructions, refusing mandatory hospitalization among others.

The fines are ranging from AED1,000 to AED50,000.

To access the service, residents can download the MOI app via App Store or Google Play. (RA)
