Recruitment agencies in Lebanon have been warned about the ongoing deployment ban on newly-hired Pinoy workers in the country.
The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reminded the public about the ongoing ban during the repatriation of 26 distressed overseas Filipinos, including seven infants and children.

While the repatriated persons had lost their jobs and income opportunities in the pandemic that struck during the economic crisis in Lebanon, the repatriation also coincided with the commemoration on June 13 of the National Day of Migrant Workers, which celebrates overseas Filipinos contributions to the country.
The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration would be assisting the repatriates on their travel ahead to their respective province once they arrived at the port of entry in the Philippines, the officials added. (AW)
