The Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Committee in Abu Dhabi listed a total 5,067 violations of COVID-19 protocols in the emirate over the past week.
This came following the committee’s intensive inspection campaign to curb the spread of coronavirus.

According to Abu Dhabi Media Office, a total of 4,210 fines were issued, including 72 fines due to mass gatherings.
A total of 786 warnings were issued to food and commercial establishments, along with temporary closure of 71 commercial establishments for 14 days.
Among those establishments warned are tailor shops, car garages and accessories shops, barbershops, restaurants and grocery shops.

The committee stressed that preventing the spread of COVID 19 is a shared responsibility.
The public is also urged to report any violations by calling the toll-free number 800 2626 or sending a text message to 2828. (RA)
