Morisette Amon’s father denies hurting his daughter

Morissette Amon’s father broke his silence over allegations that he hit his daughter during an intense confrontation involving their family and the singer’s love life.

Amay Amon has been very vocal about his frustrations on the singer’s current love affair with Dave Lamar. Amay has been consistently tweeting and insinuating issues about his daughter and her boyfriend.

Amay said he intended to keep quiet and let the storm pass but the issue about him hurting his daughter is something he couldn’t let go.

“I will not give my time and energy anymore speaking to everybody of those lies, with one very serious exception. I have never, ever hit my daughter. That narrative ends here,” he said in a statement.

Citing a source, Pep.ph reported that Morissette left their house following a heated argument with her father. The singer is currently staying in an exclusive village with her STAGES manager and not living in with her boyfriend.

“As a father, there will be missteps, there will be miscommunications, and there will be mistakes, but physically disciplining my children has never been, and will never be, a part of my parenting,” Amay said.

Amay added that he is taking full responsibility for exposing their private affairs and allowing outsiders to weigh in on family issues.

“I am taking full responsibility for having invited outside opinions and speculation on what should have been a private family matter,” he said.

Amay said he is hopeful that they will get through with this controversy.

“At the heart of the matter, and at the end of the day, my wife and I just want to be the best parents we can be to our extraordinary children. We have made every effort to support and sustain our family, and now we are called on to survive this storm. And we will,” he added.

Morissette’s father also urged the public to shift back their focus on their daughter’s undeniable talent.

“I look forward to the conversation shifting back to my daughter’s undeniable talent, drive, passion, and more – where it should have stayed. As for the road ahead, I hope all parties can speak their truth and be heard, respected, and believed, and hopefully the work to reconciliation and healing starts soon.”
