The delegates of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will conduct its on-site assessment in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia tonight until August 12.
Hosted by the Philippine Embassy in Saudi and Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) Riyadh, the on-site assessment will be held at Elite International School, together with known review center in Riyadh Filipino Oasis Review Center and Examination (FORCE-PH), computer training school Computer Society of Filipinos (COMSOFIL), and Saudi Driving License Portal (SDLP).
The on-site assessment is part of the Philippine government’s efforts to bring skills and development programs closer to Filipinos in Saudi. It aims to measure the capability of Filipinos in various industries and determine if they merit the coveted National Certificate (NC II). The NC II will further help them find suitable careers in their chosen industry. The on-site assessment will also help these OFWs determine their current knowledge and skills in related or alternative jobs, as well as provide intervention training.
Filipino students in Saudi are subject to this assessment for the industry certification, where TESDA will determine if they will be qualified for a certification in their chosen career path. The assessment will include Teaching Methodology 1, Computer Systems Servicing (CSS) NC II, Photography NC II, Caregiving NC II, Healthcare NC II, and Fiber Optics NC II.
The delegates will be welcomed by Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Adnan Alonto and POLO Labour Attaché Nasser Mustafa.
