Greenbelt shoppers were delighted to bump into Philippine President Rodrigo “Digong” Duterte yesterday afternoon.
The President was accompanied by Bong Go, special assistant to the President, and his security entourage.
A source present during the impromptu mall visit disclosed that Duterte bought a Tumi messenger bag.
Tumi is an American upscale chain known for luggage and bags, sells backpacks ranging anywhere from P10,000 to 50,000.
Bong Go told reporters that the President bought a backpack suited for his gun magazine needs.
Apart from Tumi, according to sources, the President spent some time inside specialty stores IWC Schaffhausen, Panerai, and Breitling.
DZMM correspondent Dexter Ganibe added in a tweet that the President together with his entourage dined at Fely J, a Filipino restaurant.
The visit was not included in the President’s official schedule for the day.
