The bus fare on all city routes in Sharjah will increase by Dh1, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) announced on its website.
The increase will mean passengers will have shell out Dh7 instead of Dh6 regular fare.
Sayer cardholders, meanwhile, will pay Dh5.5 instead of Dh4.5.
The move will compensate for “escalating operational expenses”, Khaleej Times reported.
