The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority will launch two new bus routes leading to the Global Village next Wednesday, Nov. 1.
Route 102 will start at Rashidiya Metro Station while route 106 will start at Mall of the Emirates Station.
Mohammed Abu Baker Al Hashimi, Director of Planning and Business Development, said the RTA had also re-operated Route 103 and Route 104.
“Route 103 starts from the Union metro station and heads to the Global Village via Al Rabat Street. Route 104 starts from Al Ghubaiba Station and heads to the Global Village via Al Jafiliya metro station,” he said.
Al Hashimi said the move was a response to the increase in the emirate’s population.
“RTA is keen on broadening and upgrading the public transport network to cope with the urbanisation and demographic growth in Dubai,” he said.
The Global Village is a family entertainment attraction open from Nov. 1, 2017 to Apr. 7, 2018. Its previous season has attracted around 5.6 million guests.
