Louvre Abu Dhabi released an additional 1,000 tickets for its opening day on Nov. 11.
On its Facebook post on Wednesday, Oct. 25, Louvre gave a sneak peek of the museum interior as well as some of the artifacts and artworks that will be on display, as shown on the tickets.
According to Louvre Abu Dhabi, this is the first museum in the Arab world that “focuses on shared human stories across civilisations and cultures” from prehistory to the present times.
The museum’s 23 galleries houses several artworks and artifacts, some of which are borrowed from France. The museum also features exhibitions, a children’s museum, a restaurant, a boutique and a café.
The public can expect symposiums and performances during the opening day.
Louvre Abu Dhabi is built on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi where other museums Zayed National Museum and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi are expected to rise.
Tickets cost Dh60 for general admission and Dh30 for visitors between 13 and 22 years old. Children under the age of 13 are free to enter.
