This money transfer firm partners with LBC to improve remittance service

Money transfer company Western Union has partnered with courier company LBC Express to increase public access to its services, a Western Union official said Wednesday.

The partnership will ease Western Union customers’ financial transactions as they can soon receive remittances through LBC branches.

“With this agreement with our biggest network agents, Western Union and LBC customers and the rest of the Filipinos can enjoy convenient means to receive money from abroad with over 1,000 locations of LBC,” The Manila Times quoted Jeffrey Navarro, Western Union country director, as saying.

More than 1,200 LBC branches will provide remittance services.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas earlier reported that cash remittances from overseas Filipino workers amounted to $18.6 billion (Dh68.3 billion)from January to August 2017.
