Filipinos in Dubai receive personal text message from Sheikh Hamdan

It’s not everyday you get to receive a text message from a member of the royal family.

Dubai-based Filipina Rona Jaudian shared a text message she received from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, inviting her and other residents of the emirate to join the ‘30×30 Dubai Fitness Challenge’.

Got a personal text from the Crown Prince of DXB. Thanks for the invitation your highness. You’re so cool,” Rona Jaudian, who works for an engineering company, posted on Facebook.

Jaudian and thousands of Dubai residents received the SMS on Wednesday, October 18, as an invitation to participate in the ‘30 minute x 30 days’ Dubai Fitness Challenge that starts on Friday, October 20.

Two other Filipinos received the message and took to social media to accept the challenge.

JR Rogacion on Twitter posted the same message and accepted the challenge of the Crown Prince.

“This is just amazing! Got a text message from His Highness Sheikh Hamdan the coolest Crown Prince of Dubai. Challenge Accepted My Prince,” Filipina Kizzy Claire Empleo shared on Facebook.

Some residents even attempted to reply to the text message sent to them by the Crown Prince in a bid to respond to the challenge.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge aims to make Dubai the most active city in the world by encouraging residents to have an active lifestyle.
