1,180 Filipinos take Special Professional Licensure Exams in Abu Dhabi

The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi reported that a total of 1,180 Filipinos in the United Arab Emirates took the Special Professional Licensure Examinations (SPLE) on 01-03 September 2017 at The Philippine Global School in Abu Dhabi.

The number of examinees in SPLE increased by 29.5% compared to 2016 which had 911 examinees.

Director Rodrigo Balaqui Jr. led the nine-member Philippine Regulation Commission (PRC) team for Abu Dhabi composed of Elvira Arellano, Dinah Lim, Lea Francia, Mahalina Duroy, Beatriz Lugena, Nora Siason, Romel Ruiz, and Ronald Allan Denoso .

The PRC team conducted the SPLE for Architects, Certified Public Accountants, Civil Engineers, Dentists, Electronics Engineers, Electronics Technicians, Environmental Planners, Master Plumbers, Mechanical Engineers, Nurses, Physical Therapists, Professional Teachers, Radiologic Technologists, and Veterinary Medicine.

Prior to the examinations, the PRC Abu Dhabi Team conducted on August 27 to 31 a five-day screening and evaluation of documents submitted by the applicants for SPLE at the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Abu Dhabi. POLO, as the lead partner agency of the PRC for SPLE, spearheaded the preparations and conduct of the SPLE in Abu Dhabi, in coordination with the Philippine Professional Organization (PPO) – UAE.

The Embassy and POLO expressed their gratitude to the officers and members of the PPO – UAE under the leadership of its current Chairperson, Ms.Divina Digap, and The Philippine Global School for the support and successful conduct of the licensure exams in Abu Dhabi this year. DFA/MCAG
