PAL proposes construction of P 20-B NAIA passenger terminal

Philippine Airlines (PAL) that operate most of its flights at Terminal 2 proposes the construction of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 Annex building amounting to P20 billion.

This proposed 89,000 square meter passenger terminal can hold up to 20 million passengers annually against the current 7.5 million, according to PAL president Jaime Bautista in a media forum.

A multi-level parking which can accommodate up to 1000 vehicles, a new cargo terminal and ground service facilities will also be included in the proposed project, reported GMA News.

Bautista added that this passenger terminal will not only make passengers more comfortable, but will also create 3,000 to 5,000 jobs for Filipinos. Positions such as managers, counter personnel, ramp service crew, cleaners and maintenance personnel, security staff, etc will be up for grabs once the annex becomes fully operational.
