Abu Dhabi: Sunday, October 2, 2016, will be an official paid holiday for all public and private sector employees in the UAE, the concerned authorities have announced.
The holiday will be part of the elebration of the Islamic (Hijri) New Year 1438, Saqr Gobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiritization, has said.
Workers in the UAE will generally enjoy a three-day weekend beginning September 29 (Thursday) and returning to work on October 3(Monday), reports said.
