Factory worker wins lotto jackpot

MANILA: A 48-year-old factory worker from Quezon City is now PHP97 million richer after winning the jackpot in the recently held Super Lotto 6/49 draw.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said the winner was the sole player to pick the winning combination—09-11-18-23-25-31—in the June 19 draw, reported Inquirer.net.

The father-of-two who has been trying his luck in lotto for two years took home exactly PHP97,109,808.

PCSO Vice Chair and General Manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II said the instant multimillionaire bought two tickets worth PHP40 and selected numbers based on the birth dates of family members, Inquirer.net added.

When the man claimed his prize at the PCSO main office, he told the officials he would be quitting his job. He plans to buy some apartment buildings and a farm which he will manage along with his wife.

The rest of his millions will be kept for his children’s future.
