RAS AL KHAIMAH: Some 188 riders from 16 clubs took part in the 1st Fox XC Race Showka held recently at Dam-2 Showka in Ras Al Khaimah and organized by
UAE MTB Jumeirah.

Organizers opened “fox trails” which were connected to existing trails composed of 4×4 jeep tracks, single tracks, as well as steep uphill and downhill tracks.

Ladies Open & Men’s Newbies categories needed four laps to complete the race wherein each laps is 3.5Kms long.

Those in the Men’s Expert Category did five laps; those in the Men’s Open Category did the longest race which is six laps at 3.5Kms each. It is a Le Mans starting style wherein all the riders were at least 20 meters away from their bikes needed to run to find and get their respective bikes
