In line with the celebration of International Women’s Day, 700 domestic helpers and nannies will be recognized in a special event in Dubai on February 9, 2018.
Dubai-based St. Mary’s Catholic Church is organizing the special event named as “Women of Wonder” (WOW) to laud the ‘silent workers’ of Dubai.
According to Gulf News report, aside from recognizing the effort and sacrifice of hundreds of domestic helpers, WOW also aims to thank the government of Dubai for making the emirate a safe place for many women and children.
The daylong occasion is promised to be packed with many entertainment activities, a wide array of games, and many community and food stalls to choose from. Prizes and raffle draws will also be given to lucky winners in the event.
