UAE one of the safest countries in the world

Due to the much lower murder rate recorded in the United Arab Emirates, it is hailed as one of the safest countries in the world, officials said.

Gulf News quoted Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, to have said that the murder rate in the UAE is currently standing at 0.3 percent for every 100,000 people. This figure makes the country one of the safest places worldwide, he stated.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, continues to order his subordinates to tackle the process of achieving national agenda and meet all their targets by 2021.

On January 16, the Abu Dhabi police released its 2017 result of recorded road fatalities. About 200 deaths due to road accidents were reported, while 150 were severely injured.

These figures are much lower compared to the 2016 record.

The authorities also assured the public that they will not be complacent and will work further to reduce road fatalities.
