Manila bound flight delayed after Pinay drops ‘bomb joke’

A flight bound for Manila from Davao has been derailed after a 28-year-old woman cracked a bomb joke at the Davao International Airport last Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

Authorities said, it was around 7:00 p.m. when the woman, identified as Blanca Pulvera, dropped the unsettling joke that prompted airport officials to conduct an immediate bomb inspection.

Technically, whoever drops a bomb joke may end up in prison for five years with a fine of not more than P40,000.

Pulvera was soon released by the aviation police when the air carrier declined to file complaints against her.

Authorities remind the public that dropping bomb jokes are prohibited and subject to be penalized under Presidential 1727 “Declaring as Unlawful the Malicious of False Information of the Willful Making of Any Threat Concerning Bombs, Explosives or Any Similar Device or Means of Destruction and Imposing Penalties”.
