Dubai Police tear down wall to rescue man stuck in building

The Dubai Police had to tear down a wall to rescue the Asian man who fell into an air vent from the 9th floor of Al Sufouh building yesterday, December 31, 2017.

The rescue team rushed to the building when they received the emergency call, reported Khaleej Times.

“The rescue crew initially reassured the panicked man that he would be rescued. We then put a plan into action to extract him from the small, narrow shaft,” the police said

Using ropes and stretcher into lift him to a room, the policemen were able to get the 23-year-old man out of the bottom of the building where he was stuck.

The police then transferred the man who sustained serious injuries to Rashid Hospital via an air ambulance. His condition is stated to be stable.
