ABU DHABI: SFC Group, which operates a hotel and chain of fast food restaurants, has up to 40% of its 2,500 employees being Filipinos. Why? “In the hospitality industry, they are the best staff,” said K. Muralee Dharan, the company’s managing director.
“Filipinos are very dedicated, very sincere. Whatever they do, they enjoy doing. For instance, when packing something, you will know the difference if a Filipino did it or other nationalities. They make a difference in whatever they do,” Dharan said.
SFC Group operates Avenue Hotel Deira, Indian Palace fine dining restaurant and Pizza Pan. It also runs Southern Fried Chicken Plus of which it has up to 35 outlets across the UAE, according to Dharan.
He said SFC Plus is continuously expanding, having just opened a new branch in Karama and another one in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi.
“We are coming up with another one in Karama, it’s a stand concept; and we are also opening in Al Ain. We are opening wherever there are presence of the market,” Dharan said.
SFC Plus is among most sought-after fast food chains across UAE, popular for its reasonably priced fried chicken, burgers and pizza. (JD)
