It was definitely a night full of nostalgic feels with a combination of melancholy, alternative and old school music as bands from different areas across UAE battle it out last 24th of November 2017 for the much awaited Eliminations Round of the Bayanihan Festival 2017 Tunog Akustik Battle of the Bands. Held at the KitaKits Kafe and Klubb, Marco Polo Hotel Dubai.
Different genres of songs in both originals and covers from various Filipino and international artist were sung in full acoustic style. This competition also paved the way for our locally grown musicians to showcase their undeniable talents. Rocking it out on stage were the following bands: Anak ni Juan, Espada ni Lola, Mystery Pocket, The Weekend Rhymes, Tres Siglo, Curious Juan, Herbalution, Sons of Asaph, The Unknown, and Vogue Malee’.
Special performances also from “The Gravity”, composed of talented young musicians who strummed their guitars and angelic voices to the crowd. Also performed were last Philippine Independence Day 2017 Battle of the Bands Champion “Techpenz” who sang the classics and furthermore performed their originally composed single entitled “Bayanihan”. This is also the official Theme song for the Upcoming Bayanihan Event.
After much deliberation, 5 contenders will perform in the finals at the Dubai World Trade Center on December 15, 2017. The Finalists, in no particular order:

5. VOGUE MALEE’
Definitely this segment will be one of the main highlights of the said event. So all the contestants need to bring their A game as this competition is one event that should not be missed.
