A recent study conducted by Zipjet, an online laundry and dry-cleaning service in the UK advocating for stress-free living, ranked Manila as one of the most stressful cities in the world.

With a ranking of 141 out of 150 cities analyzed and a score of 8.92, the capital of the Philippines is in the bottom 10 of the list, joining other Asian and African cities such as Baghdad, Iraq which is considered the most stressful city.

A score of 1 indicates the lowest stress level while a score of 10 indicates the highest stress level.

Abu Dhabi, meanwhile, ranked 19th with a score of 2.27 and Dubai ranked 32nd with a score of 2.95.

The least stressful city, according to the study, is Stuttgart, Germany. Two other German cities are in the top five, particularly Hannover and Munich. Luxembourg, Luxembourg came in second while Bern, Switzerland came in fourth.

Zipjet studied 150 cities in terms of population density; green spaces; public transport satisfaction; traffic; perception of security; average sunshine hours per year; air, noise and light pollution; unemployment; debt per capita; social security; family purchase power; mental health; physical health; gender equality; and race equality, which it says are stress-inducing factors.

Manila scored well on noise pollution with 2.09, light pollution with 1.42, and gender equality with 4.20, as opposed to population density and perception of security both with 9.76.
