DFA cancels passport appointments on October 16

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced that all applicants with confirmed passport appointments on October 16 will be rescheduled because of the nationwide transport strike.

In their recent statement, DFA said the Office of Consular Affairs in Parañaque City and all Consular Officers nationwide will be closed to the public on the same day the nationwide transport strike will occur.

Those who have an appointment on October 16 will be accommodated any day until October 30 at their original site without making a new appointment.

DFA reminded their office in Aseana is open from Mondays to Fridays while mall-based DFA Consular Officers are open from Mondays to Saturdays.

Those who will process their passport applications on Saturdays are subjected to Php 1,2000 charge.

The Palace has already suspended government work and classes at all levels in public and private schools because of the transport strike.
