A 51-year-old Indian electrician is currently facing charges of molestation in the Court of First Instance for allegedly groping an eight-year-old girl in Dubai.
According to Khaleej Times report, the eight-year-old Indian girl said that the electrician was in their home on September 4 for some repair work.
While their housemaid was busy doing chores, the electrician touched her in an inappropriate way. After that, the report said, she went into the bathroom and locked herself in until the electrician left their house.
The girl’s father said the electrician is a maintenance worker at their building.
“He came to our house to fix the water leak in the kitchen and bathroom. But my daughter told me at around 6pm she had to get out of his way when he groped her,” Khaleej Times quoted him as saying.
They reported the incident to the Al Raffa police station.
